Title: Ninja Restaurant
Date Taken: May 12, 2012

We had dinner at Ninja Restaurant in New York. It was kind of cheesy, but it's a themed restaurant that was fun to go to.

We entered the restaurant where there was a host waiting (you have to make reservations ahead of time). Once they were ready, they lead us to their elevator. We went in with another group who was also there for the first time. We stopped at the same "floor", where a ninja popped out and led us to another door (we went a different direction than the other group). It is completely dark in this part of the restaurant and they made us go down (or up?) staircases that were lit by tiny lights on the wall. Once we reached the end, the same ninja jumped out and scared us again. He then led us to our table - the aisles are really narrow and the atmosphere is very "Japanese"; our table had sliding doors so it was nice that we had some privacy. I was a little concerned, though, that I was going to knock over something while walking to and from our table.

We had a table of four, and each of us ordered a different item from the menu:

Table setting:

NINJA STEAM! It was pretty great - when the ninja server came and brought this dish, when he uncovered it at the table he screamed "NINJA STEAM!" XD

Overall, I think this restaurant is fun and worth trying out. The only really big thing I'd want to change about this restaurant is the fake accent the servers put on - it's actually kind of offensive, don't you think? But otherwise, even though it's more towards the pricier side (the shrimp tempura was $18.00), it's more so for the ambiance and experience. Everyone was really friendly and on Yelp a lot of people got magic tricks, which we didn't get :( But I think there were a lot of birthday celebrations and personally I liked that they didn't come interrupt us. I would recommend to try this place out - it's a fun restaurant to go with family and/or friends.
