Title: Mocha Cake
Date Taken: September 16, 2012

I got a Mocha Cake from Sheng Kee Bakery & Cafe for $5.50 (I got 13 slices when I cut it about 1/2 inch thick each) ^0^ I love bread, and I was really craving the light spongy kind so this really hit the spot! I really liked it; I want to try all their other flavors now 8D

Title: Chantal Guillon
Date Taken: September 15, 2012

Went to Chantal Guillon in Hayes Valley on Saturday. We got a box of 12 macarons for $20.00; we got six flavors, two of each.

From the top left going right: Almond, Vanilla, Pistachio
Bottom left going right: Espresso, Coconut Lime, Rose

My favorite was actually the Espresso~ The Coconut Lime was a little bit too much lime (I wanted more coconut) and the Rose tasted like Fruity Pebbles ^0^ The Almond was a little too processed for me, as was the Vanilla. I kind of forgot how the Pistachio tastes, so... it wasn't memorable. I must say I like Ladurée (New York) better (and I just realized I didn't make a post about that yet from our New York trip) but this is by all means still better than other macarons I've tried around here in SF. Overall, the service was really great and the macarons are pretty good - it is a must-try!

Title: Hanky Panky
Date Taken: September 15, 2012

Went to Straw Carnival Fare in Hayes Valley yesterday. We got the Hanky Panky (pictured above) which is: "belgian waffle/fried eggs/hickory smoked bacon/cheddar potato croquettes" for $11.50 (excluding tax & tip). I must say, the croquettes were absolutely delicious *0* The waffle was okay; for some reason there was something about the taste that I personally felt like was lacking. It didn't taste horrible; I just feel like it could've been better. Luckily we shared; the portion filled the both of us comfortably.
