Title: Bulgogi tempura

One of our favorite Korean restaurants is Brothers Restaurant in the Inner Richmond. This is the only place we know of that has bulgogi tempura and it is DELICIOUS!

Title: Cake Time
Date Taken: February 19, 2012

Thank you Karen, family and friends for making my day special - even though we all celebrated a day early :)

This is lychee ice cream cake from Polly Ann Ice Cream in San Francisco. The lady who made this cake is so sweet, she remembers me every year! Absolute deliciousness in every bite.

Jason Wu Inspired Nail Art
Using: China Glaze First Mate + Hey Sailor, Sally Hansen Diamonds & Rubies, Mellow Yellow + Timeless White, Essie Lion Around

My (almost) birthday nails! There was some Wu-sanity for his recent collaboration with Target and I was lucky enough to nab the few pieces I was eyeing online... though I know others were not. Never fear: I went to my local Target today and there were a good amount of clothes and bags available. Keep checking yours, as I even returned a couple of items today, so you're bound to find something soon.

I fell in love with the navy blue dress and skirt and was itching to recreate something similar for my nails. Although it didn't go quite as planned, I rather like it turned out :)

Go behind the jump for some more close-ups!

Title: Dinner at Bella Trattoria
Date Taken: February 17, 2012

Last night I went to Bella Trattoria in the Inner Richmond area for a friend's birthday. I actually went there with the same group of friends for my birthday (they chose the restaurant) and both times I can say that the service was excellent, but the food is average.

Title: Koja Kitchen at OtG
Date Taken: February 16, 2012

The picture you see there is what happily sits in my stomach. Koja Kitchen is a fairly new food truck, and I was lucky enough to catch it at Off the Grid (OtG): Civic Center UN Plaza, San Francisco today for lunch.

11:15AM: a few coworkers and I hopped on the underground MUNI to avoid the crowd at OtG. And yes, it gets crowded. I heard about this truck from a friend, and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. Behind the cut you'll see close-up shots of the drool-worthy Korean-Japanese fusion dishes pictured above.

Be prepared to be hungry.

Title: Brunch at Dosa on Fillmore
Date Taken: February 5, 2012

Today I went out to brunch with a few friends at Dosa on Fillmore. The food was really good and the restaurant's ambiance was really nice (the service was friendly and a good level of attentiveness) but overall I would say it is a little pricey. Look at what I ate!

Title: Pork flavor pork
Date Taken: December 18, 2011

I love ramen. I can't get enough of it. *0* One of my favorite places to go is Santa Ramen in San Mateo. I've gone there at least once every year during Christmas time (get it - SANTA Ramen ;D) with the same group of friends for our SEKRIT SANTA exchange ever since 2005. Yes, it is that delicious! It's all about the broth! It is a definite must-try restaurant and you can't go wrong with the 'pork flavor pork'.

Later days,
Karen
