Zoya ran this fabulous promotion earlier this month, offering two free bottles of nail polish (just pay shipping). At the time I owned no Zoya polishes, so you bet your waffles I wasted no time skipping on over to order Jo and Neeka.

I'm not the luckiest of people, so I shouldn't have been surprised when the Neeka bottle came in... well, half empty. And completely dried. So dry, in fact, that I couldn't get the bottle open. Ironically, there was no content spillage anywhere inside the boxes it came in, so I reckon it must have happened during packaging :(

I've heard great things about Zoya's customer service, but when they didn't respond to my two initial e-mails, I became a little frustrated. Since I was away on a business trip for the following 5 days, I wasn't able to give them a call until a week later. Lesson learned: I highly recommend picking up the phone in these instances, cause before I knew it, a replacement bottle was on its way over. So, yes, Zoya's customer service is pretty amazing - thank you Ron L. of Art of Beauty, you are the best!

Now that I have a full, working bottle, I'm wearing Neeka this week. Go behind the jump to see some swatches...

Title: 1-800 FLOWERS!
Date Taken: January 25, 2012

I got a surprise this afternoon at work! I got a call from the Front Desk saying that I got a package. I usually get calls from them telling us mail arrived, this and that arrived, and I just figured it was another random office supply package. I asked her if it was heavy (because, seriously, if it was I'd rather have someone bring it up to us) but she said she didn't think so and wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a surprise. I was so confused. I went down and she told me I got a package from 1-800-FLOWERS! After bringing it up and opening the package, I found it was from a very sweet guest that I helped out earlier in the month. She was really thankful about me helping her solve her credit card issue (side note: don't ever use those credit card gift cards like VISA gift card, AMEX gift card, etc. to check into a hotel!). I was only doing my job, though! So I felt super special and it really made me happy that I'm doing what I'm doing at my work ^___^

I hope everyone gets surprised with flowers at least once in their life!

Later days,
Karen
